COAL + ICE
(ENG) The COAL + ICE project was first developed as a documentary photo exhibition for the Three Shadows Photography Art Center in Beijing in 2011 and was shown at COP21 in China and in Paris in the residence of the American ambassador. The exhibition is co-composed by Magnum photographer Susan Meiselas and renowned exhibition designer Jeroen de Vries.
Atelier Argos (René Wissink) and Jeroen de Vries have known each other since the mid 80s, when Jeroen was a lecturer at the Graphic Design department, Academy for Fine Arts, Enschede (AKI). In the early 90's there was a collaboration in various projects.
From April 2020 Atelier Argos helped visualize the concepts for the new COAL + ICE exhibition in Washington DC in the Kennedy Center.

COAL + ICE
(NL) Het COAL + ICE-project werd voor het eerst ontwikkeld als een documentaire-fototentoonstelling voor het Three Shadows Photography Art Center in Beijing in 2011 en werd tijdens COP21 in China en in Parijs in de residentie van de Amerikaanse ambassadeur getoond. De tentoonstelling is mede-samengesteld door Magnum-fotograaf Susan Meiselas en gerenommeerd tentoonstellingsontwerper Jeroen de Vries.
Atelier Argos (René Wissink) en Jeroen de Vries kennen elkaar al sinds midden jaren 80, toen Jeroen docent was op de afdeling Grafische Vormgeving, Academie voor Beeldende Kunst, Enschede (AKI). Begin jaren 90 hebben was er een samenwerking in diverse projecten.
Vanaf april 2020 hielp Atelier Argos met het visualiseren van de concepten voor de nieuwe COAL + ICE expositie die in Washington DC in de Kennedy Center gehouden zou worden.
De tentoonstelling ging op 15 maart 2022 open.

Atelier Argos maakte vele renderings en aanpassingen op verzoek van Jeroen de Vries.
Atelier Argos is trots om een deel te zijn van het COAL + ICE team en om de wereld bewust te maken van de klimaatverandering.
