Chromatische Identiteit is een visueel onderzoek naar identiteit, tijd en verwantschap. Het project vertaalt persoonlijke data — geboortedata, sterfdata en mobiele nummers — naar CMYK-kleurvelden en cirkelstructuren. Elke kleur representeert een individu; de schaal van de vorm weerspiegelt diens aanwezigheid in de tijd. Tijd ontvouwt zich hier niet lineair, maar recursief — generaties overlappen, verdwijnen en keren terug in structuur. De serie draagt sporen van een familielijn waarin levens zich rond eenzelfde horizon bewegen. Wat normaal als data bestaat, verschijnt hier als chromatisch systeem. De data wordt niet geïnterpreteerd maar gevisualiseerd; het beeld ontstaat uit codering. Elke compositie functioneert als een relationeel portret — een kaart van verbonden tijd, verwant aan de logica van Chromatic Dates. Binnen GIS/WIS vormt Chromatische Identiteit een archief van leven en verlies, waarin kleur drager wordt van herinnering en tijd zichtbaar wordt als patroon.
Chromatic Identity is a visual investigation into identity, time, and relation. The project translates personal data — birth dates, death dates, and mobile numbers — into CMYK colour fields and circular structures. Each colour represents an individual; the scale of the form reflects their presence in time. Time does not unfold linearly, but recursively — generations overlap, disappear, and return in structure. The series carries traces of a lineage in which lives seem to move toward a shared horizon. What normally exists as data appears here as a chromatic system. The data is not interpreted but visualised; the image emerges from encoding. Each composition functions as a relational portrait — a map of connected time, aligned with the logic of Chromatic Dates. Within GIS/WIS, Chromatic Identity forms an archive of life and loss, where colour becomes a carrier of memory and time becomes visible as pattern.
