Caleidoscoop is een visueel onderzoek naar consumptie, herhaling en transformatie. Het project vertrekt vanuit afgedankte objecten en restmaterialen — fragmenten van het dagelijks leven die uit zicht verdwijnen, maar blijven circuleren. Door digitale spiegeling, rotatie en herhaling ontstaan uit deze restanten nieuwe structuren van orde. Wat begon als afval wordt patroon; wat fragment was, wordt systeem. Tijd manifesteert zich hier als een proces van voortdurende herconfiguratie. De data wordt niet geïnterpreteerd maar getransformeerd; het beeld ontstaat uit iteratie. Elk werk vertrekt vanuit een ‘oerbeeld’ en ontwikkelt zich via een visuele feedbacklus tot een nieuwe compositie. Binnen GIS/WIS vormt Caleidoscoop een archief van consumptie, waarin overvloed zichtbaar wordt als ritme en restmateriaal als drager van betekenis.
Kaleidoscope is a visual investigation into consumption, repetition, and transformation. The project begins with discarded objects and residual materials — fragments of everyday life that disappear from view, yet continue to circulate. Through digital mirroring, rotation, and repetition, new structures of order emerge from these remnants. What began as waste becomes pattern; what was fragment becomes system. Time manifests here as a process of continuous reconfiguration. The data is not interpreted but transformed; the image emerges through iteration. Each work starts from an ‘origin image’ and evolves through a visual feedback loop into a new composition. Within GIS/WIS, Kaleidoscope forms an archive of consumption, where excess becomes rhythm and residue becomes a carrier of meaning.
